A true San Francisco veteran, San Quinn is such a prolific rapper when he was growing up that he holds the Guinness world record for the most records released by a rapper under 21, has opened for everyone from 2Pac to Jay-Z, and was a founding member of the Fillmore crew the Get Low Playaz. Em Dub got a chance to talk to Quinn over at Dex Beats’ studio in South San Francisco, and they chopped it up about how he started rapping, what it was like growing up in the Fillmore around legends like Andre Nickatina and JT Tha Bigga Figga, where he got his name, what it was like to open for 2Pac, and about his upcoming album, For The City Volume 1.
