Caleborate – Hella Good (Album)

@Caleborate is the Bay’s favorite up and coming relatable rap dude. Last night he delivered the long awaited 12-track follow up to his Winter Break EP. Hella Good finds the 20-something emcee reflecting on life as an aspiring rapper and college student whose nearing the end of his curriculum, finding footing in the local and internet music scene, and taking a stand to make the music he believes we need.

The laid back, musical, and sometimes soulful soundbed crafted by Willem Ardui and Wonderlust, who collectively hold down more than half the project’s beats, create an almost seamless cohesion (save for the experimental 7th track) for Caleborate to flex his comfortable, casual, and conversational flow. Additional production from Kuya Beats, Drew Banga, 1-O.A.K., and others fit neatly into the albums DNA.
