Yesterday, Bay Area rapper @G_Eazy unveiled his long-awaited debut album, These Things Happen, a release that promptly put him at the top of the Hip-Hop Albums chart on iTunes, and No. 2 on iTunes Overall. Not bad for a guy just starting his reign in the game.
G’s release, of course, comes backed by months of successful promo and a string of smash singles, including REVOLT Authorized tracks like “Let’s Get Lost” and “I Mean It.” Now, the Berkeley native makes good on his hype by delivering a 16-track independent effort that boasts appearances from E-40 and A$AP Ferg, as well as newcomers like Blackbear and Devon Baldwin.
Catching up with REVOLT at this past weekend’s Firefly Music Festival – at which he performed for a feverish crowd of thousands – G-Eazy spoke on how it feels to finally put a full body of work like These Things Happen out into the world, and some of the hard work that went into it.
Watch the brief interview above, and head to iTunes to pick up These Things Happen now.
