Thizzler.com x SMKA x C4 Belts present: Darkest Before Dawn (A Bay Area Compilation)
Our goal for Darkest Before Dawn was to help get the Bay Area into a national light. The name itself came from the idea that the Bay doesn’t get a lot of attention – it’s in the darkness. But there’s so much talent in the music scene here that it’s inevitable that the dawn will come soon.
We reached out to SMKA because we felt that collaborating with a producer from outside of the Bay Area was one of the steps needed to make the outside world take notice of what was going on inside of the Bay Area, and they also provided a sound that was very unique and high quality.
We hope you enjoy this album as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
