South Stockton, CA artist Tokyo BLVC just released his first song “I-5 To Da Raq” featuring B.O.M Nunu! With this first single, he aims to cement himself as having one of the most unique sounds coming out of his region. Thizzler: Where are you from? How was your upbringing?

Tokyo BLVC: I’m from Stockton, CA. The South side. My upbringing was ok, it’s just you gotta stay out the way and mind yo business.

T: How did you begin making music?

Tokyo BLVC: My mom started making music when she was younger so it just run in the family.

T: How did you get your rap name?

Tokyo BLVC: It came to me in a dream lol so yea not much to that.

T: How would you describe your musical style?

Tokyo BLVC: DIFFERENT AF. I don’t sound like no other rapper coming out of Stockton, that’s BIG FACTZ!

T: Tell me about “I-5 To Da Raq”. What inspired this new single?

Tokyo BLVC: Well I got hella family in ‘chiraq’ so yea I called my OTF n*ggas and then me and my brother B.O.M Nunu tapped in and now we here shout out OTF NHG AND BET ON ME GANG FREE THE GUYZZ!

T: How is it different than previous drops?

Tokyo BLVC: This is my first drop so yea not much to that.

T: Is it part of a project? If so, can you tell me more about that?

Tokyo BLVC: Yea this song is a part of my Soufside Shottaz mixtape coming soon so stay tuned!

T: What message do you want fans to walk away with after listening to “I-5 To Da Raq”?

Tokyo BLVC: I want my fans to walk away just to bring new fans.
