Today Richmond, CA has a ton of interesting things going on in music. You can’t really discuss the city’s recent contributions to the rap game without mentioning North Richmond’s Bla$ta. After spending a bunch of years in prison, he’s made the most of the time he’s been home. He’s a prolific act that has already released 2 tapes this year. Today we get 8400 Project Siblings, a collab album with his friend and oft-collaborator WayMoBandzz.
The 11-track album is a dedication to their neighborhood where they learned the rules they live by. They had a cutthroat upbringing so they had to become just as cold to survive. Hearing these two share records paints a clear picture of their stomping grounds and makes us excited for future music, shared or solo.
