Berkeley’s own Nate Grapes just released his EP Crows On A Wire. Bars is an understatement when it comes to this emcee. Nate Grapes let’s his words paint pictures and gives the listener a glimpse into his truth. After going down at a young age, he wanted to make this project to bring people up to speed with his life and where it’s at now.
The symbolism behind crows on a wire is meant to depict a balancing act by black youth. With the societal pressures they face in this day and age, how easy it is to fall on the bad side and how hard it is for people to be good.
