The UGL E-Sports Tournaments feature registered players, pro athletes, and pro gamers in the ultimate “Pro’s vs Joe’s” competitive gaming league

The Ultimate Gaming League (UGL) has been pioneering a Madden 19 tournament season with Bay Area swag inside Halftime Sports Bar in Downtown Oakland this fall. Now, the UGL is bringing their Halftime Football Challenge to the BEAST MODE store in Oakland on December 22nd! UGL’s premiere Madden 19 tournament drew beloved KMEL personalities Shay Diddy and DC, along with Raphael Saadiq-co-signed artist Jane Handcock, to watch gaming competitors advance through a daylong competition, culminating with a cash grand prize win for pro-gamer John Madden 69.
Before the main event, a preview launch party brought Mistah F.A.B., Philthy Rich and IAMSU out to support this new and much-needed experience of e-sports with hip-hop flavor!

ABOUT THE HALFTIME FOOTBALL CHALLENGE
UGL’s Halftime Football Challenge consists of a series of double-elimination tournaments (including either 32 or 64 players), with registered players walking away with exclusive giveaways and prizes. The ultimate victor of the 32-player tournament will win a $1,500 cash prize while the winner of the 64-player bracket will take home $2,500 in cash, and bragging
rights as the best Madden player in the Bay Area. UGL’s events will ultimately position the best Madden 19 video game players in Northern California against one another in a battle of wits, football knowledge, and skill.
Daryle “The Guru” Johnson (host from Bay Area sports station 95.7 The Game) has been keeping gamers on their toes and the crowd hyped on all the action at every UGL event. The cutting-edge experience with multiple gaming stations, live-streaming on Twitch and a hip-hop infused
vibe makes one thing clear: UGL tournaments are miles ahead of the mainstream esports world! DJ Flygerian Jeff made sure the dancefloor stayed full for all the spectators at the launch party kicking-off UGL’s 3rd year of the Halftime Football Challenge video game tournament series, with main competitions delivering cash prizes of $1500 and $750 plus
bragging rights for the best Madden player in the Bay Area!
This fourth gaming event is taking the UGL “Pro’s vs. Joe’s” model to the next level by featuring professional athletes and professional gamers who make appearances and participate in the tournament – offering registered players the ultimate bragging rights by defeating a “Pro”. In addition, the final four players will earn a slot in the UGL Superbowl – a 16-player invite only tournament where the best-of the best will compete for a $5,000 grand prize and the title of UGL Superbowl Champ! The Ultimate Gaming League is a startup digital e-sports media company that hosts its own branded e-sports tournaments and championships.
