@girlznthehood_ finally unleashes their debut mixtape, the 10-track All 4 Nia. The new project serves as tribute to late Girlz N The Hood member, Nia Wilson, who was stabbed to death at MacArthur BART Station in July. While her death gathered national attention and sparked protests throughout Oakland, the girls who knew her best decided the best way to honor her memory would be to complete and release the music that she inspired them all to create.
All 4 Nia fits well with contemporary Bay Area releases, as it features production from many of its sonic architects such as PartsUnknown, Lil Rece, and Holla The Truth. Shotta, Mylly, Shi, Ty and even Nia showcase how very Oakland their approach is. These girls are tough and ready for the smoke.
