NFL Superstars take part in Anti-Violence summit in Oakland

Oakland Raiders star Marshawn Lynch, Los Angeles Rams star Marcus Peters & their cousin former Oakland Raider Josh Johnson attend & speak at the CourseCon: Oakland, Understanding the Community anti-violence summit at the Impact Hub held in Oakland, CA on June 6th.  Lynch & Peters have continued giving back to the Oakland community in various ways from free football camps, to back to school giveaways. Now they are using their influence to speak out against street violence.

Darryl “Lil D” Reed & 1968 Olympic medalist and activist John Carlos along with his sprinter teammate, Tommie Smith, were also at CourseCon to speak out against violence in Oakland.  Glad to see these men set a proper example in our community to put the guns down & seek education.
