JAMMY – No More Drugs (EP)

@MayflowerJammy drops off his 6-track EP No More Drugs. The American Canyon artist teams with producer Thomas Jordan to craft an experimental project that features rapping, autotune, electronica, and indie rock melodies. No More Drugs owes a debt to Kanye West’s 2008 opus 808s & Heartbreak, in its use of auto-tune and retro themes.

No song displays this more than track 4, “I-5”. It’s difficult to imagine a project such as this one in a pre-808s world. If you’ve been looking for a new artist to point to when stubborn music consumers claim the Bay’s music consists only of post-hyphy and mob rappers, then get familiar with Jammy by slapping the new EP up top.
