On the two part “Fluffy Pink Lights”, Oakland’s Just Rese finds himself on the wrong end of an unexpected break up. Discouraging hasty action, Rese attempts to convince a fed up love that their relationship is worth saving. He offers an array of analogies, explanations, and reflections which flow cleverly over Jamal Jellyfish ‘s celestial production. He then takes a step back on the song’s transformed outro, to look at the bigger picture, and ultimately resolves that humans are fickle and so is the love shared between them.
