@1oakALLDAY has finally released his long awaited album Riding In Cars With Girls. The Oakland bred singer, songwriter, and producer has been teasing the album for what feels like years, since the release of his debut Special Request. The new album has likely undergone many changes, and required living some life to create, so we’re forgiving of the time it required to craft the new offering. I recall in a past interview with 1-O.A.K, he explained the album as being a reflection on the different relationships with women that he’s shared and how they invariably changed him, though all the ladies were very different from eachother.
The album, which was led by the single “Lost & Found”, has a number of different sounds, which 1-O.A.K. produced much of by himself, though HNRL bretheren Trackademicks and Drew Banga have a couple production credits each, with additional production from Kuya Beats, Whiz Ward and P-Lo.
1-O.A.K. is well known in the Bay Area’s music landscape for the role he’s played in developing the careers of some of our favorite locally bred acts. He even held production credits on Kamaiyah’s 2016 effort A Good Night In The Ghetto. Check out the new album from 1-O.A.K. above for a free stream, and head down to the iTunes widget below to cop!
