@Drew_BangA_ and @Wade08_ make for an interesting duo on this new collab project Bangin Since 08. The two East Oakland artists deliver a 13 track project that sonically relies on the nostalgia of 20-somethings who remember Hyphy, Choppa, and Pretty Ricky. The strength of the new mixtape lies in Wade08’s high energy delivery, the same kind of energy that you’d encounter in any Oakland weekend function, and Drew’s willingness to sample familiar records.
