@LVTheMan returns as Poo$ie with a new mixtape called Eyesoulation. The 19 year old rapper who played football in High School for McClymonds has since changed his style quite a bit. Once known for rhyming over boom-bap East Coast style production, Poo$ie does slows things down a bit on Eyesoulation and grinds it out on some Southern style production. You think UGK, mid-2000’s Wayne, even Scarface when you hear records like”One Up” and “Down Bad”, which along with “In The Circle” best showcase Poo$ie’s departure from LV.
Topically he remains quote unquote “conscious”, speaking his truths about growing up Black, facing and seeing injustice around him. It’s a dope listen. If you’re looking for new music, this isn’t the worst place to start.
