@Turkflow & @RexxLifeRaj connect for this ear worm of a record titled “City Kid”. The opening seconds of Turk’s Ian Mcke and Wax Roof produced release feels a lot like something you’d hear on from a Frank Ocean stan, (no lie an unofficial version of “Chanel” was the first related track Soundcloud played for me after slapping this joint). As the record progresses the single only gets better, and more original as Turk shows off an impeccable pen game and understanding of his vocal abilities, he does more than sing.
By the time Rexx Life Raj makes an appearance you realize “City Kid” is the song being recorded in one of Raj’s Rexx Files episodes. I wanted the record then and I want it just as badly now. Slap “City Kid” up top and share it with a friend.
