@VicMensa @Le1f @Halsey @LilBTheBasedGod & @MalikYusef come together to praise and celebrate LGBT pride month as well as adress the challenges the community faces in “Free Love.” Although hearts have been heavy after the recent tragedy in Orlando, cities everywhere have been rallying together for their respective Pride festivals. It is outstanding to see prominent artists of this stature collaborate to promote a powerful message at a pivotal time like this. In brief, Le1f is a forefather of queer rap coming out of NYC, Halsey is a contemporary song writer from NJ, famed for her collaboration with Justin Bieber, Lil B is a positive legend from Berkeley preaching his based movement, and Malik Yusef, G.O.O.D. Music label meber, is a veteran spoken word artist, rapper, producer from Chicago. This is more than a starstudded feature list, this represents five artists from completely different lanes, blending their realms together to actively provide support the LGBT community. Not to say that the support is needed now more than ever, because it has always been needed, but recent happenings require a global involvement and effort to continue striving for equality and justice for the LGBT community. A big salute to these artists’ endeavors to support and promote the LGBT community. #FreeLove shirts are available with a portion of proceeds going to those victimized in Orlando.
