@NefThePharaoh @CaseyVeggies featured on @EscoMoeCity ‘s new mixtape, Esco Terrestrial. Future hosts the mixtape and is featured on all but three tracks. One of the three songs without Future’s presence includes Casey Veggies and Nef The Pharaoh’s track “Stupidly Crazy.” The track is a for sure stand out on the tape for several reasons. The vibrance and bounce of the song in no way reflects the nitty gritty trap sounds heard on the bulk of the project. While the DJ Mustard production along with Casey and Nef’s respective styles form a flawless blend of LA and Bay Area sound. Hearing talk of sideshows, Draymond Green, Vallejo and Richmond sounds so foreign on an Esco x Future project, but nonetheless Nef and Esco must have made a connection when Neffy opened up for the San Jose stop of Future’s Purple Reign tour last spring. The blap is noteworthy not simply because of its quality, but its representation of the Bay Area’s current influence and reach in national hip hop. Shout out to Nef The Pharaoh and Casey Veggies for making their individual sounds pop off in a climate oversaturated with like sounding artists.
