@ItsKamaiyah lets go of a memorializing new video for the heartfelt “For My Dawg” from her stellar debut A Good Night In The Ghetto. The Oakland emcee pays tribute to two loved ones, James who died of cancer last month and Fred who was murdered in Oakland last Summer.
The Evan Croker directed clip utilizes old footage of better times found on Kamaiyah’s hard drive. It also finds Kamaiyah and company congregated on James’ steps, recapturing the essence of A Good Night In The Ghetto’s cover art, only this time they are holding candles for the somber vigil.
