I’m far too young to remember when “Sprinkle Me” dropped back on 1995’s In A Major Way. Despite that, this slap along with a number of other classics from the Bay Ambassador’s catalogue is engrained in the DNA of in the Bay’s hip-hop culture. I can’t be the only who echoes E-40’s and Suga-T’s “ooh ooh ooh” adlibs when Suga-T kicks off her verse.
This was the time the rest of the country got put on to the genius that is E-40, In A Major Way being his first major label release. Uncle Earl has kept us fed with a string of classics since “Sprinkle Me”. Give this one a spin for old time’s sake.
