Digiwaxx hosted Nas & Damian Marley for a private listening session of their forthcoming collaborative album, Distant Relatives. While they only played a handful of tracks that we haven’t heard before, the majority of the material was head-nod inducing and sounded far from “forced”. During the brief Q & A segment of the evening, I got up the nerve to ask Nas about his much-debated beat selection over the years, and what the process was like picking the right production for this project. –Mikey
